Mediation SERVICES

Workplace mediation is a voluntary and confidential process that supports open communication in a safe, neutral environment. It enables parties in conflict to explore issues constructively, improve understanding and work towards a mutually acceptable resolution.
When handled well, mediation can help rebuild working relationships, restore trust and agree practical ways of working together more positively in the future. It is particularly effective where communication has broken down, tensions have escalated or issues feel stuck.
As an experienced Civil Mediation Council (CMC) Registered Workplace Mediator, I facilitate the mediation process as an independent and impartial third party. My role is not to judge, take sides or impose outcomes, but to support those involved to listen, understand each other’s perspectives and resolve their own issues.
My CMC Registered status, renewed annually, confirms that I:
- Have completed approved mediation training
- Undertake regular continuous professional development
- Adhere to the European Code of Conduct for Mediators
- Follow the CMC Code of Practice
This ensures the mediation process is ethical, professional and delivered to recognised national and European standards.
After an initial client discussion, the parties will be asked to confirm that they agree to mediate and sign a mediation / confidentiality agreement.
Followed by individual pre-mediation meeting(s) to understand the main areas of disagreement and potential solutions, moving on to the joint mediation meeting and agreement.
What does Workplace mediation normally look like?
- Following an initial discussion with the client:
- Agreement to Mediate
All parties are asked to confirm that they agree to take part voluntarily and to sign a mediation and confidentiality agreement. - Pre-Mediation Meetings
Individual, confidential meetings are held with each party to understand the key issues, concerns and what a positive outcome would look like for them. - Joint Mediation Meeting
A facilitated joint meeting provides a safe, supportive and confidential environment where:- Parties are encouraged to respectfully listen to each other
- Feelings and concerns can be expressed and acknowledged
- Understanding and empathy are developed
- Joint problem-solving is used to explore solutions
- The focus is on moving forward and rebuilding the working relationship
- Agreement & Next Steps
Where agreement is reached, a confidential written summary is produced outlining the key outcomes and actions agreed. Where appropriate, a review meeting can be scheduled to support progress. - Throughout the process, clear ground rules are maintained to ensure professionalism, respect and psychological safety at all times.
